I've recently got a few Blue Note Tone Poet series lps and am mightily impressed by the sound quality and pressing quality, as well as the overall packaging. Sound is on par if not better than the Music Matters releases, and price is much cheaper than them. Very reasonably priced at about NZ$40 from Amazon. Highly recommended! A label that continues to impress with its excellent sound and pressing quality is No Business Records. nobusinessrecords.com/A free jazz and improvised music label from Lithuania. Prices are more than reasonable, usually EUR18, and often cheaper. The music may not be to everyone's taste but the sound quality is truly exceptional. A veritable bargain by today's standard.

Wow, fantastic thread and a lot to be learned. To add that classical records are completely a steal today. Most of the non-collectable staff are sold at ridiculous prices for what you're getting.
