This is a thread that others may wish to expand on - either if you live in, have travelled to, or have mail-ordered records (or CDs) from the UK...
I had a short couple of days in/around London last month & found myself in the vicinity of a couple of s/h record stores in the (central London) Tottenham Court Road area.
In Berwick St, Soho, is RECKLESS RECORDS.
Being close to Oxford St & the West End, i wasn't expecting bargain pricing but the selection did not blow my expectations either. A reasonably wide range, except for Country which was notably small in qty. Plenty of Dance, Techno & so forth, being UK. Also a range of Hip Hop, World, Jazz (not a lot of Blues) & of course Rock/Pop. I don't recall spotting a Classical bin here - not that sort of shop, UK of course, has vast qtys of good Classical vinyl available elsewhere (I have bought such mail-order before from UK).
However, 'collectable' or classic, borderline-collectable albums were either thin in the bins and/or fairly costly (GBP15-30 upward), or absent. Apart from high-priced Beatles & other 'collectables' of course.
My dreams of picking up one last reasonably priced UK-Ex copy of The Kick Inside or The Smiths or Hatful of Hollow, will have to wait.
Real Groovy would easily exceed the stock range offered here - or at least the old RG would have.
