Outlined in Michael's report on the SAT (Swedish Analog Technologies) High End Munich 2019 press release, a number of things tackled by SAT which resonate with me, having looked closely at a Technics SP-10 MkII DD TT over the past few months: - Coupling of the DD motor stator to the chassis for maximum stiffness - the SP-10 motor stator fixing to the TT chassis is relatively light-duty & could be much improved. - Motor vibration - there is no damping in the SP-10 MkII & its aluminium chassis resonates audibly. - Magnetic shielding of the cartridge from the DD motor - I had almost forgotten that I had purchased jointly some mu-metal sheet for this purpose, with my old pal Ken Newton (who used an SP-10 Mkii). - Record spindle de-coupling - a good idea IMO, especially so with a DD TT.

is spindle decouple like the old roksan removable spindle ?

Yes that's the idea. But it sounds like SAT achieve decoupling differently.

Michael Fremer (ANALOG PLANET) gets his hands on the ( Swedish Analog Technologies) SAT XD1 record player - €150,000 (~US$177,400) + €50,000 (~US$59,000) for the CF1-09Ti tonearm. Does it smoke his own CONTINUUM Caliburn turntable? (US$65,000 with Cobra tonearm in 2006 + US$25,000 for the Castellon stand.)

Not the prettiest of turntables. But very solid, functional, "I mean business" type of look. Would be happy to have it in my living room!
