There is a 9200 on TM at the moment (one sold for circa $2400 a week or so ago), which raises a question for me. Would it be an improvement over my 8150 or a sideways step?
Found a thread on the old Audioenz site (now no longer accessible) which seemed to suggest that dealer demands for more power resulted in an amp not quite as good, or at least no better, than the 8150.
Anyone here owned both of these amps who could offer an opinion?

Own an 8150 (for about 20 years now) and had thought of "upgrading" to the 9200 quite a few years ago. But for me it sounded wonky at the top to what I was use to. Grainy? Bright? Not exactly sure, but it put me off, so I kept the 8150. garym might like to comment?

if you have an 8150 or 8200 in good working condition, keep it.
it's a bit dark on top but sounds better balanced than the 9200 which i found basically to sound as monsieur citroen describes.

I think I knew of the seller of the $2.4k 9200. We were about to suggest to him that the above Buy Now was too light
