Hilarious!
$200 sounds about right to me, especially as it's missing the blue box.

I lose interest quickly when I see that sort of trash writing... it's just lazy & disrespectful to prospective buyers. No punctuation, randomly missing caps, appalling spelling (for "a company director of xx years"), mostly indecipherable. Pfft. (The stumpy guy knows his Beatles stuff I think.) I stopped buying Beatles years ago.

It appears that many owners of the Blue Box set seem to have inflated ideas as to its value!
Apart from this set, minus its box, there are currently four other Blue Box sets listed on TM.
1. Missing Sgt Peppers, but including two ring ins, box reasonable condition, asking $750! 2. Complete set, but box very poor condition, asking $600. 3. Missing the White Album (says it is a complete set of 11!), box reasonable, asking $550-600. 4. Complete set, excellent condition, including box, asking $425-450.
I’m no expert, but from watching Blue Box sets being sold on TM over time, I think a fair price is circa $400-450. I bought my set off TM last year, records unplayed, box intact but marked from sellotape (about 4 pieces each side) that had been used to hold the box closed. Hence cheap price of $220 that I was happy to pay.
Certainly the seller referred to in the OP is a dreamer!

I see the set has been relisted. Note that the Butcher cover is among the group. How often was that used for reissues as I believed the cover was dropped quite quickly.

butcher cover is not used on an album in the box but is featured on the inside of rarities gatefold cover.
not the first time a tardme seller though he had a butcher cover

Did this OP item sell? Or withdrawn?

Expired, relisted for same price, then expired unsold. Listing appears to have now been amended, to sell one album only - the Rarities LP, and the seller claiming it to be the original “butchers” LP, when instead it is from the 1978 Blue Box set! Check out the sellers other listings! Asking some very ambitious prices.

as i said above re- butcher cover lol
many beatles sellers wouldn't know a real butcher cover if it bit them in the ass

I posted a question on the listing, pointing out that it is not the genuine buythers cover. The seller replied that I was right, and has reduced the asking price to $99 - still way to high!

he appears to think he can maximise profits by breaking up a box set and selling individually ? the delusion is deepening
