Hi guys New toy arrived last week. No real time it yet as cd player went out to lunch and tt is ill. One of my audio club buddies has very kindly lent me a spinner in the interim. This is the integrated that Absolare had at the recent Munich show. Ive had the stitching changed to black. Mine is the Signature version. I believe Rob Harley has penned a review that will be out before Christmas.

Hi guys.. Just a short story re my journey with my Absolare Signature Integrated. Ive owned it now about 6 months or so. I ended up buying as a result of an already paid for Lyra SE pre amp dying on the operating table while back at Lyra H.Q in Japan. It was purchased through a friend in Aus who is besties with Kereme who owns Absolare ( and Echole cables) Its suited up in fire engine red leather with a massive great heat sink running near on full length. Its a hybrid. Pre is tube and amp section is 200w of ss. Its a brute of a thing and there was quite a bit of juggling to get it to fit. Mine has ultra rare uber expensive tubes that were purchased after the amp. Are they worth it... ...not sure. The tubes that came with it (2 externally fitted) are pretty good. My friend who it was sourced through searches global markets for Kereme. At least Ive now got a spare set I guess... I have it driving a pair of TAD R1s and I have to say both integrated and speakers may as well be welded to the floor as they arent going anywhere!! The music delivery I now have far exceeds anything I could have ever dreamed of. The reviews Ive read on the TADs say they need quality supporting gear to get them singing at their full potential. In alot of ways that sounds like a bit of a stupid thing to say as Im certain all speakers will respond to quality amplification. The Absolare is up to the job at every level!! The bass is deep and tight. Not boomy on any level. Imaging is fantastic. Highs are up there without being bright or shouty...etc etc. I was told that the TADs may not be suited to the Absolare as they needed lots of wellie to really sing... Well lets just say I have never been happier and the Absolare Integrated has to be in a select group of integrateds that give any seperates a run for theor money no matter what its feeding.OK it was major dollars but Im totally stoked with everything about it. Comes with remote for volume only. The only thing I would change is there is no indexing on the volume knob so if you turn the volume down its impossible to know where it was... I think a drop of Twink maybe in order. I had mine made with a split of xlrs and normal inputs..(what ever the normal ones are called..lol)The Absolare web site is worth a look for further details and reviews.

Hi guys.. The Absolare integrated review has been greeted with support from some quarters and mild annoyance from others. It is unclear which integrated was being reviewed. Was it the Passion or the Signature version? There is quite a difference dollars wise. And the reviewer was using using uber expensive speaker leads and power cable from Echole (sister company to Absolarè) so what was really being reviewed here..?? Commentry on Whats Best Forum was basically from people who already owned integrated amps which arent the target market I would have thought.
