EAT (European Audio Team, Czech Republic) brings the low-cost philosophy of Pro-Ject to EAT moving coil cartridges? positive-feedback.com/reviews/hardware-reviews/eat-jo-5-mc-cartridge/" ... at $1295, it challenges my favorite $3500 cartridge reference for best overall definition, imaging, and musicality. I cannot even suggest a cartridge at Jo's price that comes close in overall performance. Well my Jo No 5 has finally arrived and initial impressions are big, green and good sound although it does need to loosen up a bit.
Photos to follow....

10 hours now and I can say that this cart. is very good. My EMT TSD15 sounds coarse and uncouth in comparison, the Jo No.5 has better imaging, soundstage, dynamics, more depth, less congestion, cleaner bass, sweeter treble and is generally more enjoyable to listen to for long periods of time. It is of course possible that it matchs my arm a little better although I am getting some feedback now.

It turns out that the rack that the turntable is sitting on rings like a bell even with the legs full of sand. Herbie‘s feet things and a bunch of anti-resonansce squares have solved the problem but I am now looking for a new rack...
