do you have a separate phono stage for each arm ?
or a fancy phono stage that has multiple inputs ?
or a single phono stage and simply plug in the arm you want to use ?

"Fancy phono stage with multiple inputs " here . Really is a joy to use with remote controllable everything.

Cheers Michael. Why the question? Are you contemplating adding another arm to your SP10?

3 arms into the one phono stage. Sugden has 1 MM and 2 MC inputs, so run 3 MC carts with a head amp into the MM.
Sometimes depending on cart I need to use another phono stage built into pre-amp.
If Michael is going to add another arm, then I'd investigate a high quality switch box, so that he can still use his lovely Vinyl Phono Preamp.

One phono stage with two inputs, one RCA and one XLR. Takes a couple of seconds to flick a switch and dial in the impedance when swapping from arm to arm. I wouldn't call the Project RS fancy but if works well for my needs.

lately i've been seeing a lot of photos of turntables with multiple arm setups contemplation lasted about 2 minutes. too many obstacles to overcome - need a bigger plinth or arm pod, bigger platform to put turntable on, another phono stage etc.
m.citroen has a sugden ?

As I found, building an arm pod isn't difficult, finding the room on the plinth or rack is probably a bigger obstacle for most of us.

For 3 or 4 years I think, a Sugden Masterclass PA-4. The Gram Slee Reflex Era Gold didn't have enough inputs, even with the added MM and MC of the Plinius amp I had then. Looked into a lot of RCA switch boxes but when the Sugden came up grabbed it. Multi arms is really convenient. The main one most of the time, for proper listening. One for mono records One for not so good LPs/LPs I haven't cleaned yet that look not so pristine/LPs that sound like sh!t, or for when playing as background music. This way I maximise the use of my estimated anything from $1 to $10 per hour cartridge.

As Cooks says, another arm pod isn't that difficult, nor is sourcing a switch box. Especially if you can utilise that great phono stage you already have. But it all depends on how you would use that extra arm. You already have other tables, so might not need another arm. Are they plugged in to other phono stages? If for mono, or not so pristine records, then a second source system may be all that you need, rather than tapping into your high end gear. If you want another arm for another quality presentation/flavor then I say go for it! I have a dreaded detachable headshell which provides me with this fix.

I'm a bit of a purist, I eschew switching & use a dedicated single-input phono stage with a single primary TT setup. I have a 2nd inexpensive phono stage, for a 2nd TT (when I get it setup or when I happen to have another in-house). However, you could set up a quality input switching-box, as suggested, for multiple arms or TTs. I may need something like this, as I hope to have 2 arms on a 2nd TT. Or a phonostage for each arm - as cartridges often have synergies with phono stages.

SUT with dual switchable inputs, with 2 turntables, mono and stereo.

All of my amps ( Colinf valve pre, Luxman L55a, Nad 309) all have 2 phono inputs MC/MM. This does restrict me to having to use a MM on one arm and an MC on the other but no great hardship. Works really well for me.

SUT with dual switchable inputs, with 2 turntables, mono and stereo. Yes of course, fairly common back in the 80s. Here's an example, my go-to MC transformer, a Fidelity Research FRT-4 with 3 selectable inputs + a bypass setting.
