So many records do not label which is side a and which is side b. P!sses me right off. Scratchy paper sleeves they come in Lack of info on the sleeve about the version/year of issue or reissue Finger prints on new vinyl How much damn space they take up. How short each side is...

So true and after a few years of vacillation I've decided that I've purchased my last lp. In truth my vinyl purchasing has almost dried up any way (2 lps in the last 4 months)but I'm more and more saying yah to cd/sacd etc. Just pop the disc in and sit back, no more cleaning, purchasing new inner sleeves, fretting about cartridge setup, phono stage settings etc etc. I am rather fond of my vinyl collection but my life will not change one iota if I never purchase another lp and if I was forced to sell anything from my music room it'd be the vinyl and associated hardware that would go first. Having to open each new purchase with crossed fingers and a short prayer before checking the physical quality has become tiresome. When the rituals start to become a chore much of the enjoyment goes.

will you be having a fire sale ? clean break and all that ... i've been lucky this year, only one record bad enough to need replacing. I have had some talks with a couple of record shops to gauge interest which seems good. Not sure if I could be bothered with the hassles of TM for records. At this stage it's a holding pattern. After much procrastination decided to finally retire January 2020 so will probably hold fire till then and see how I feel. Without the hassles of work my attitude to selling may change but definitely cut the buying. One thing going through the Discogs listing has shown me is how many lps I have that need playing.

I think an LP side is about exactly the right length of time to sustain my interest, I often find CD's too long. Not a huge fan of this current trend of splitting LP's over 4 sides though. Even less when they are 45rpm. Not clearly marked sides A & B is also a gripe, not to mention the cost of new vinyl....
