I covet your Mark Hollis LP.

I covet your Mark Hollis LP. This was reissued last year, but seems it has the same noise problems as the 2011 reissue release (which I have). I covet anyone who has the original 2003 lp! Its been a long time coming, about 6 years between albums for my favourite dark ambient jazz group Bohren & Der Club of Gore. Simply stunning stuff. Moody, dark and atmospheric - Patchouli Blue. Highly recommended.

Okeydoke. If it was easy it wouldn't be fun. The opening line of the album is: "There was one room in her house, that was always kept locked. It was, the garage!"

I’ve had that album for many years, haven’t heard it since mid 90s! The only album by Thomas Dolby that I own.

According to my database, I only have one TD. This vinyl copy, purchased in London: (Not sighted in my collection for decades and ahem...probably only played once or twice)
"I see music as a lifetime affair." [Rory Gallagher]
"Free - I miss that band, but when I look back, we were very young" [Paul Rodgers]

After the weekend concert, it's only fitting.... The Flatlanders' seminal 'rediscovered' album, 40 years after it was recorded in Odessa, Texas in '72.

Luke Hurley on vinyl after many many years. HAPPY ISLES, Holiday Records pressing First spin, first impression? Very well recorded/mastered, instantly came alive, crystal clear and full of body. A nice upfront presentation. A sonic triumph! Musically, Luke hasn't strayed far from his roots and this will sound very familiar to his fans. Would have liked a bit more contrast and more quieter, contemplative parts. But perhaps that's just my current mood... Reworking of Albatross is excellent. Highly recommended, from a long time, highly biased Hurley supporter. lukehurley.bandcamp.com/album/happy-isles

RSD exclusive, 1500 copies worldwide of koyaanisqatsi (unfortunately not Naqoyqatsi). First time the complete soundtrack on double lp. Not hopeful that this will be easy to get esp downunder.

and for a quiet, reflective moment: Isn't Mindy's version so achingly plaintive?
