OK. Now I'm back to 'mobile' - seems normal.!
There's a Reddit for Peter Gabriel and someone said they look like AI hands on his latest II album. All the other albums had his face on them except for two.
Allmusic.com lists the 3rd eponymous album as best. (I've not followed his work.)

Bonnie "Prince" Billy, Nathan Salsburg, Tyler Trotter – Hear The Children Sing & The Evidence Just the two 20+ minute each track. Meditative, hypnotic lullabies. Brilliant!

DIRTY THREE - Love Changes Everything 2024 Its been a long 12 year wait for this one. First impressions? One of my new favourites. There's an interview coming up with Warren Ellis about how The Dirty Three Saved him, on RNZ Music 101, Saturday.

I'm a Portishead fan and I can hear some nods to that era of her musical life. But this is more folk, more wordy, less trip hop, less Portishead and more Gibbons, which at first left me more intrigued than pleased. But like a lot of good music, the more you listen to it the more it develops and the more you hear that you may have missed the first time. I feel that Beth Gibbon's solo effort falls into this category. An amazing solo debut.

Isao Suzuki Trio / Isao Suzuki Quartet / Tsuyoshi Yamamoto Trio – The Three Blind Mice 45 Box, 2023 reissue Beautiful music, superbly recorded. Addendum - blow Up piano sounds very distant and muted, esp in comparison to the other albums.

I am a non-recovering audioholic, and Ivor is my higher power.

Tax Cuts from 1 Aug ...yippee, or not...
Reminds me of our national treasure Adam McGarth's (ex The Eastern) brilliant track from 2022, such incisive foresight:
"...He always said “Men who wear ties Will buy and they will sell you Until the day that you die” and the bastards and their budgets And the slashing of such It gets me all red in the guts And all them salary boys With their white wine grins Tell em all to get fucked There’ll be no great society built on the backs of tax cuts..."
"I see music as a lifetime affair." [Rory Gallagher]
"Free - I miss that band, but when I look back, we were very young" [Paul Rodgers]

Not sure about the size of these photos img. Bb seems to be not working. But - just went and visited Junk and Disorderly. CD's are an okay price @ $2. All other formats incl. vinyl. $5. (tell 'em they're dreaming.?) Lol. Attachments:

I'm stuck on my phone not able to switch back from desktop back to mobile DL.??
It normally says "switch to mobile" at the bottom but I'm not seeing it.
This is via Android phone / Chrome browser.
(I don't want to be left using Tapatalk solely.)

Just tested and mine has the option to switch back at the very bottom.

Thanks. Mine did have that option until this arvo. I wonder if it's cuz I'm only on Android 9 and maybe somethings just changed.?

Btw where is it ?
There used to be a Junk and Disorderly shop in Foxton.
Thinks they moved... to Hunterville.

junkndisorderly.co.nz/Mt Eden, Auckland. I've bounced on to their site before, even looked at LPs & CDs online, some possibly good jazz ones were snapped up quickly, I haven't yet visited.

Shops like that are getting scarce down here.
There was a big warehouse/barn type junk store in Palmy but it closed a couple of years ago.
Ditto in Foxton, Levin.
Nearest is the Viking's Haul over in Woodville.

Tonight and other recent nights I've been trawling through old flac collections, selecting and playing all sorts ... Tonight, I played Red Mitchell, Isao Suzuki, Tsuyoshi Yamamoto – Bass Club twice, even listening again to pick out the purely bass duets, otherwise a piano as well... I have some other Tsuyoshi Yamamoto albums, the 15 minute title track of Midnight Sugar is a favourite, well recorded, Japanese, huge dynamic range. But anyway I think it's useful and interesting to have some tracks of dual basses, each in their own channel. (I have a Rob Wassermann CD with dual & triple basses too.) This discogs cover pic looks a lot paler then the cover art on my cd flacs, maybe more accurate, but my red saturated version reminds me of Vivaldi, the "Red Priest" ~ ;=)} It's a great test for your speakers, and even room perhaps, to have two different bass players, one in each channel. This YouTube link doesn't sound as immediate and direct as the CD does, and i see there were LP's, but for a taste: I've been trawling through flacs in the context of listening to new speakers, a TM bargain I think, for another post. ;=}) Ross
