the fact that i have a set of living voice speakers which ARE here for the long haul(yeah right, i said that about the cremona m's) and truly superb is a tug. the oft stated quality of the sound of tubes with said speakers is a nudge. the savings seem real too.

but i have a pretty good LFD NCSE integrated which i have enjoyed for a few years now.

will someone tell me why these would not be a good idea? before wednesday!

the keeper of the amps is a member here and a decent chap. Im sure he will sort something for you if you werent just window shopping.

May depend on your music.  I haven't heard 300Bs in a familiar environment but I believe they are good with singer/songwriter material.

The only caveat I would mention is not to forget about the value of the preamp in the equation.
