Talking with Soundline yesterday and it appears that a new MKIV version of the much loved Dynavector P75 isn't too far away. No specs at this stage.
Speculation with a fair degree of accuracy for a new NZ made TT be be announced very soon.

If it's a soundline thing my bet would be on some iteration of a well tempered but with a natural wood plinth (maybe Rimu or Swamp Kauri), named after a native NZ bird ?
Unlikely IMO to be a remanufactured Aura.
Q. Were LP12's ever made here, or were they just assembled with the Rimu plinths ?

TT is nothing to do with Soundline. If I'm correct you'll have to move a bit further south.

Well knowing that you have been talking with Simon recently, that does sound interesting. (or would if I had any funds to buy another TT)

You've funds aplenty! All you have to do is sell herself on polished wooden floors over carpet. I mean really, how many times will she dig her toes into that new carpet and sigh the sigh of a contented woman before the first spilled drink ruins the whole thing for her anyway?

Q. Were LP12's ever made here, or were they just assembled with the Rimu plinths ? back in the good old days of import licensing, the linn lp12, rega planar 3 and naim amps were assembled in nz by the old avalon radio corp., much like the ckd cars of the day. largely in kit form with some local content like the rimu lp12 plinth, to reduce import duties. this also gave rise to oddities like the rega 3 with linn basik tonearm.

I'd expect an announcement to perhaps tie in with the Munich show.
Sorry JH but a new TT is not on my wish list at this stage. The tables that populate my winning Lotto dreams start around $20,000 and head into the clouds. In reality my ambitions are much more modest.

Actually cooks I think JH comment was directed at me and my ongoing money pit of renovations. He also knows that I have no great desire to buy another table, much as I dislike my current one.

Possibly available at the end of the year, Check Design Build Listen Facebook page for updates. I believe a prototype may be shown at the current Munich show so it'll be interesting to see what shows up in reports.

It's a nice looking design. Despite my having always been baffled by the visual design aspects of that arm. And the half dust cover? Why bother? I'd like to k ow more details, see more detailed pics and understand the thinking behind the design... I'll have to wait I expect. Big ups for getting an NZ designed (and built?) TT off the ground...
