cooksferry can't believe you haven't cracked open Michigan! My Sufjan recommendation to start with would probably be Illinois or Carrie and Lowell. Check out the tracks and these guys reaction to a first listen to Illinois

Now, there’s a deal I can’t possibly pass up! I’ll see if I can find something suitable in the wine rack to trade. Will be in touch via PM. 👍 All yours. Anything will do, as long as its wine, has alcohol, won't kill me, is in a sealed bottle...!

Sorry I'm no help on this. Last year was all about system changes for me so not much spent on music.
Just checked and the only 2021 release purchased on vinyl was Arlo Parks - Collapsed in Sunbeams. Nice album, not particularly noteworthy but worth a listen.

Arlo Parks does pop up every so often on last years lists. How about anything you bought in 2021 not necessarily year of release harvey?

Come on guys, don't be shy. Would love to hear your one or two recommended releases from 2021. I have a short attention span and so am always looking for new music to indulge in. Hash tag deano1974 , harvey , RdM , raveydave , harvey , papahemi , Graham , paulsaints , bruise , neilsan , colinf , curiousgeorgenz , rmc001 , sub , Neil , andrewp , cartridgeguyonline , Dom , jon , LinnBoy , peter0c , sadface , snewt , sadface , steviewunda , tonyd , @everyone ELSE! I’ve not actually bought anything for the past couple of years! These days I stream a lot from Qobuz and the turntables only get fired up occasionally.

Last year I bought from discogs Toto Mindfields (2LP). And bought from ebay a cd I lost about 10 yrs ago of Zimerman Liszt concertos on DG - a great disc even though 1988. I figure if can listen to that without turning the volume up or down its good.

Try Jade by Pan Daijing if you want something a bit weirder (as is my usual tastes). pan-daijing.bandcamp.com/album/jade

You're the second person to recommend that album. Mastered by Rashad Becker too. 👍 Neil this is just what I needed, even if it is very sombre. Almost crosses the line to pretentious but ordered Tissues on the black stuff after streaming a few tracks. Very operatic. Would love to see the dance performance that went with the original performance.

Yeah, she is pretty amazing. A multi medium artist. Dictee is my favourite track on Jade. Amazing Bass and vocal.
