I have waded through quite a few posts about ultrasonic cleaning machines. Is there a TL/DR solution? Can anyone suggest an affordable purchase - preferably with a link? Mrs P is going to treat me to something for xmas, and doesn't yet know it. Well, neither do I.

Having ultrasonic cleaned many records, I'd say... - Use a 0.1-0.5% pure detergent/water mix & if you do so, the record will air-dry in just few mins. (Because the detergent is also a surfactant/wetting agent.) - However, the problem with air (or fan) drying is that some of the 'dirt' will end up drying onto the record. - This will be especially so if the fluid volume is small (as above) - so, regular fluid renewal needed. Or a larger volume tank. Or fluid filtration. - I still find record cleaning to be tedious (I'd rather be listening or making), so cleaning one record at a time would be too time consuming & annoying for me.

- Compact dimensions - good (Actually it takes up more table space than it looks, 37W x 28D x 21H cm) - Sweep frequency cavitation - could be good - Removable fluid tank - good - In-built fluid filter - good (but (i) ? microns filter (ii) filter surface is small, will probably need frequent cleaning) - Low noise - good (but at what distance are those dB level specifs?) - Adjustable in-built drying - good - High temperature switch-off - good (a temperature meter would be ideal, as the ultrasonic action raises fluid temperature). - Software update-able - good - Anionic surfactant fluid concentrate - good (better cleaning, faster drying, no static charge added) - Only one record at a time - not so good (although cleaning is arguably better, esp if transducers are side-positioned)

I am new to this forum, but appreciative of the insight and commentary within. I also am aware of the passing of Owen. Very sad. Is the Ultrasonic record cleaner kit still available to purchase?
Thank you. mike

Thank you. mike Ottawa, Canada. Hi Mac, Welcome to the forum. I hadn't planned on continuing with the sale of these kits as I only organized the engineering/manufacture and Dad handled most of the sales, packing, sending etc. In saying that, there are still a bunch of parts in stock so I will see what I can muster up if you are interested, will PM you.
