Hi, mine definitely has rectifier tubes. I haven't heard the one Art reviewed, but I can say that my own VR sounds amazing. Huge, wide deep and detailed. When I first got it I was blown away by the quality of the bass. So deep and tactile. All Shindo products contain NOS components to some degree. All of them, even the Aurieges. But, they are not just used for the sake of being NOS, they are only used in places where they make sense, and make an actual difference. One of the things that differentiates Shindo products as you move up the line is the amount of NOS parts they use. The more they have, the more expensive they are, and this is often related to the scarcity of these parts.

Dear Neil,
Thanks for your replay.
I thought your VR didn't have a rectifier valve based on some user manuals I found on the internet and they have different valve listed from the one described by Mr. Dudley.
One is dated 2012 and other 2015. Both have different tubes and without rectifier tube.
Anyway, thanks again.
Best regards.

The biggest thing I would say is don't worry about it. Don't try and second guess the designer in their decisions. If it's not tube rectified, or it is, or they use a specific tube now and not then, it doesn't matter. You will still be getting an amazing product, true to their vision right now. Philosophies are not fixed, they change with experience. Just enjoy it.

Neil,
Thanks.
I think the same as you. Using a specific tube does not make the equipment better. When Ken Shindo was still designing equipment, he often used his "feeling" and changed projects while still on the assembly bench... lol...
Anyway, my concern is with the current "overall quality" of the VR. And, regarding the tubes, it was just a curiosity about which tube set is currently being used.
Best Regards.
