A 3rd party host is preferred, you get more control and it reduces demand on this forum's limited resources.

Yes, third party host much preferred, such as imgur.com/uploadIf you post direct/upload direct to this site, then it takes up space on our limited reserves on proboards.

It’s coming from Jakarta. A long way away from me! The turntable is shipping in the original box (not crate) and packing material inside another box, so it should be fine. The plinth is shipping separately double boxed. The seller communication has been outstanding. Still, I’ll rest much better once it’s safely in my house. Thanks for the image posting instructions.

The Technics has landed! Quite a bit of work to do before I can swap it with my Lenco as I need to machine an arm board out of Delrin for my Terminator and machine the Al arm board for my Pioneer PA70 arm. The stainless and Cu (shown on the right in the picture below) arm boards are kinda cool, but I don't know if I'll ever use them unless/until I get a new tonearm.

That was quick !
Is the power supply multi-voltage, aftermarket platter mat ?
What's the going rate on a lightly used SP10R ?

That was quick ! Is the power supply multi-voltage, aftermarket platter mat ? What's the going rate on a lightly used SP10R ? Very quick! The platter mats are 2 that I picked up off Lenco Heaven. Can’t remember the name—basically vibration absorbing vinyl. They will go on my Lenco if/when I sell it and the copper mat will go on the Technics. The controller is multi-voltage frequency. Regarding the price, let’s just say it’s more than I wanted to spend, but it’s here on good shape and hopefully it is my last and final turntable. It’s also a LOT less than other statement decks, but so is a new SP10R.

The platter mats are Vibrostop mats. They are excellent. Is the copper mat one of SPH's specials - that too is really good?
I have a Vibrostop Gold (2.5mm) and Silver (5mm) and SPH's copper mat.
If that is the case, I'd suggest you give a critical listen to stacking them. In my case, I stack both Vibrostop mats for best results - equally as good was the copper mat with the Vibrostop Silver, however I had some real static issues with the Copper mat.
Anyway whichever way you go, enjoy!

I stacked two Vibrostop mats on my Lenco before I got the bearing and copper mat from Sien.

Did the SP10R come with a factory rubber mat ?
Don't be too quick to write it off.
I replaced my dried out OEM rubber mat with a fresh NOS one and it's sonic performance is second only to an expensive gunmetal mat.
In a couple of areas it even betters the gunmetal - better grip on less than flat records, zero static.

Just ordered a London Reference cartridge—the last one produced supposedly. I understand they play very nicely with the Terminator tonearm.

Folks, I need some enabling here… or better yet a dope slap. I have the chance to buy an SP10r that is nearly new for an ok price. Three months ago I would have jumped on it. A few weeks ago, however, I decided to live with my DIY Lenco and take my turntable funds and apply them toward the Taiko Extreme server. Now a ‘table is available that pretty much exactly matches what I would have ordered. My dilemma, besides the money, is that after hearing the Extreme I’d decided that it would take A LOT more money to get my analog rig to the level of the Extreme. I know Technics SP10s are popular here. My question for you is how much better will the Technics sound than my Lenco, which sounds darned good? How’s that for an impossible question to answer? Seriously, those of you that have heard a top idler, do the Technics DDs sound that much better? Thanks, Evan My take is this: money! My second concept is Opportunity. I am not wealthy and live in a modest house in a moderate suburb, but the reason I have nice gear (think Pass) is that I grab opportunities when I can. What gets my attention in your post are words like 'chance' and 'ok price'. (I hate to sound like a 'buy now and save' advertisement.) I would go for the SP10R for the following reasons. (1) It is an end game product. There may be few tweaks along the way but basically that is it. (2) I am a fan of DD, they are just more solid. (3) While I am mightily impressed by the Taiko I fancy I have got 95% of the way there (and exceeded it in one or two ways) for about 20% of the price, by building my own server. I do agree that it would cost a lost more money to match the Taiko, in fact that has been my experience with vinyl. Disclaimer, I have not heard an SP10R but I do own three tricked out SL1210s - well over 100 hours work on them.
